How we make money.
We believe you should always know how a website earns its keep, because that's the only way you can judge whether to trust it. So here's ours, stated plainly and completely. Last updated 2026-07-14.
Affiliate links, explained simply
Some of the links on The AI Verdict are affiliate links. If you click one of these links and then sign up for or purchase a product or service, we may earn a commission — a referral fee paid by the provider. This comes at no additional cost to you whatsoever; you pay exactly the same price you would have paid otherwise. The commission is paid by the company, not by you.
These affiliate relationships exist across the AI software providers and related products and services we cover. They are a standard way that independent review sites fund their work, and they're the reason we can keep The AI Verdict completely free to read.
What this never changes
Here is the most important thing on this page, and we want it to be unmistakable: our scores, rankings, and verdicts cannot be bought, and affiliate relationships never influence them.
We apply the exact same testing methodology to every tool we review, regardless of whether we have an affiliate relationship with its maker and regardless of how much (or how little) commission it might pay. No company can pay us for a higher score, a more favorable verdict, a better ranking, or a spot on a "best of" list. If the honest answer to a question is a free tool, or a tool that pays us nothing at all, that is exactly the answer we will give you. And when a tool isn't worth your money — even a popular one, even one that would pay us — we say so plainly. A recommendation you can't trust is worthless, and we're not willing to trade our credibility for a commission.
Why we use affiliate links
Producing honest, independent, well-tested AI tool coverage — and keeping it current in an industry that changes weekly — takes real, ongoing work. Affiliate commissions let us do that work while keeping the entire site free for you: no paywalls, no subscriptions, no locked content. Just as importantly, funding the site this way keeps us independent of any single company's advertising budget. We earn only when we point you toward something you found genuinely useful enough to sign up for, which keeps our incentives aligned with giving you good recommendations rather than pleasing advertisers.
Our commitment to you
We commit to always disclosing that our links may be affiliate links, to never letting commercial relationships shape our editorial judgment, and to recommending tools based solely on merit and fit for your needs. Our reputation depends entirely on your trust, and we will not risk that trust for any commission.
Questions or concerns
Transparency is the entire point of this page, so if you ever have a question about our affiliate relationships — or if you ever believe a recommendation was influenced by anything other than merit — we want to hear from you. Email us at support@theaiverdict.net and we'll give you a straight answer. You can also read more about our standards and testing process on our About page.
